Pages from the children’s book “Scoot,” by Cathryn Falwell, have been reproduced on signs along a section of the the Port’s nature trails, in order to promote early literacy practices and healthy lifestyle activities.

Founded by Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders, the Heritage Flight Museum is home to vintage aircraft, exhibits and displays that tell the stories of spaceflight and military aviation.
History takes flight over Skagit County.
The Heritage Flight Museum’s historic collection of aircraft, vehicles, artifacts, photographs, and exhibits provide visitors with the opportunity to learn about the history of military aviation and spaceflight.

The picturesque nature trails wind through the woods and wetlands around the Bayview Business Park and Skagit Regional Airport. Trails maps are available to help plan your route, or simply discover your journey as you go. Bicyclists, walkers, runners and pets on leash are all welcome.

Enjoy walking the historic route in the public access area of the SWIFT Center, and the trails in the adjacent Northern State Recreation Area.
Public access to outdoor areas of the SWIFT Center was re-established in the fall of 2019, completing an important community goal of the campus redevelopment.
In addition, two footbridges were installed to reconnect the SWIFT Center campus with the Northern State Recreation Area, operated by Skagit County Parks & Recreation.

A number of fun and educational events are held at Skagit Regional Airport each year, for aviation enthusiasts and the general public.
Skagit Regional Airport is open to the public year-round, but there are certain events that really bring people to the airport for a day of fun.
Events like Community Aviation Day and the Commemorative Air Force WWII Bomber Tour are great events for the whole family.
Other events, such as the Skagit Farm to Pint Fest and the EDASC Schmooze Fair are events that highlight the work of some of our partners and tenants.

Getting to the Airshow:
• Skagit Transit will provide a special Saturday schedule for Route 513 every 30 minutes to get visitors to the airshow. Click HERE for more information!
• Skagit Skies Airshow entrance is located at 15400 Airport Drive, Burlington WA.
• Parking is limited, and is on a first come, first served basis.
• Parking is available throughout the adjacent Bayview Business Park, north of Skagit Regional Airport.
• Please observe No Parking signage in the business park, where applicable, as to not impact parking or access to Port businesses that may be operating.
• Handicap parking is available at the airshow entrance, but is also limited. A passenger drop-off area will be available near the airshow entrance.
• Shuttle bus transportation to the airshow entrance will be operating continuously, looping from show entrance to designated stops within the Bayview Business Park from 8am to 5pm.
* PLEASE NOTE: Crosswind Drive will be completely inaccessible on Friday 6/27 from 2pm–6pm and Saturday 6/28 from 6am–4pm, due to Total Flight Restrictions (TFRs) for in-flight performances during this timeframe. This is a safety measure and there are no exceptions. Any cars parked on Crosswind Drive will not be able to leave and guests will not be able to access their vehicles in this area during this time frame.

4:00pm Dyberg Aviation pilot safety seminar: Flying the San Juans. A outline of safety features to be aware of while flying the islands and some lingo to learn of landmarks commonly used by the local island pilots. (This seminar will count as a Wings Credit for those in the FAA Safety program.)
Vertex will also have Cleancraft Detailing demonstrating their services on an aircraft in their shop.

Get your tickets for an amazing and unique event that will kick-off the Skagit Skies Airshow on Friday night. Enjoy an evening of tasty bites, thirst-quenching drinks, a bit of flying, meeting airshow performers, fun STEAM activities & a balsa glider competition — all to benefit the new aviation exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Skagit County!
Join the Skagit Skies Airshow performers, catch a US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team jump to kick-off the event, and admire Skagit Regional Airport in the evening while supporting a new, amazing, interactive exhibit at the Children’s Museum.
This is a 21+ event hosted by the Children’s Museum of Skagit County, in partnership with Corporate Air Center and the Port of Skagit. Tickets include two drink tickets per person and a feast of tasty bites.
