OPEN POSITIONS
Executive Assistant
Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant will perform secretarial and administrative duties for the Executive Director. This position requires the exercise of independent judgment, decision making, and strict confidentiality.
This position will implement the Port’s Promise, Mission and Vision and exhibit the Port’s Values such as truthfulness, integrity, and teamwork, and be responsible for coordination and publication of notices for Board of Commissioner meetings, executive sessions, and public hearings. The Executive Assistant will prepare and distribute Commission agendas and all pertinent back-up materials, packets, notices, resolutions; take, prepare, distribute, and maintain meeting minutes per Open Public Meetings Act regulations, and attend all Commission meetings and take minutes.

Leasing Administrator
Position Summary: The Leasing Administrator serves as a key participant on the Port’s Real Estate Team and manages the Port’s leasing portfolio including buildings and land. The Leasing Administrator handles tenant relations and manages the administrative, legal, and promotional elements of the Port’s real estate program.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced paralegal with a background in land use and real estate transactions, who also has interpersonal skills, and enough good judgement to take both initiative and direction when needed.

The Port of Skagit is looking for self-motivated, reliable individuals who take pride in their work and appreciate the accomplishments of a job well done.
Summary of Job Functions: Performing general and skilled maintenance support to Port properties and facilities that include a marina, airport, business park, facilities operations, port buildings and grounds work. Ability to work with power tools, motorized equipment, and vehicles. Demonstrate workplace safety: follow all safety rules and guidelines, lead by example, and encourage safety practices in colleagues. Respond to customer maintenance requests with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Wage ranges are competitive, with excellent benefits. Maintenance Tech I starting wage is $24.54 per hour; Maintenance Tech II starting wage is $27.57 per hour. (Actual starting wages are dependent upon qualifications and experience.)

Seasonal Dock Attendant
Position Summary: Provide exceptional customer service to guests visiting the La Conner Marina while ensuring their stay runs smoothly. This is a fun, fast-paced, outside job that can have you catching boat lines one minute and bringing guests into town on golf carts the next. Slow periods are used to work on projects around the marina. All staff are required to implement and promote the Port’s Promise, Mission, Vision, and Values. Work week to be determined. Shifts are up to 40 hours per week, 8AM-5PM. This job requires working weekends and holidays.
Salary Range: $19.00–$21.00 per hour (2024 range)

Seasonal Marina Office Assistant
Position Summary: Provide a high level of customer service in an often fast-paced environment. Perform a variety of administrative functions to assist customers and fellow Marina staff. All staff are required to implement and promote the Port’s Promise, Mission, Vision, and Values. Work week to be determined. Shift is up to 40 hours per week, 8AM-5PM. This job requires working weekends and holidays.
Salary Range: $19.25–$21.25 per hour (2024 range)
