A new tenant coming to the Bayview Business Park, Island Grown Farmers Cooperative will be a great addition to the Port’s value-added agriculture sector. Island Grown Farmers Cooperative has 80 member farms within five counties and have experienced a great deal of growth in recent years.
The Port of Skagit successfully applied for funding through the state Department of Commerce CERB program (Community Economic Revitalization Board) to support the infrastructure needed to create a pad-ready site for Island Grown’s new building. Construction on their 4,800 s.f. facility is expected to begin in spring 2021.
